Dyslexia Symptoms

Following is a list of dyslexia symptoms. Displaying just some of these symptoms does not automatically mean that a child has dyslexia. If a child displays many of these symptoms, though, the child may have dyslexia.

Reading problems

Spelling problems

Speech problems

Sequencing problems

Dyslexics often have difficulty with sequencing (remembering a sequence). This leads to symptoms such as:

Handwriting problems

Many dyslexics also have dysgraphia, which is a developmental disability that makes it difficult to master handwriting. Dysgraphia can be related in part to sequencing difficulties and in part to fine-motor control.

Different people can have different signs and symptoms of dyslexia. There is a wide variation, and the symptoms can range from mild to severe.

If your child has dyslexia or other reading problems, take a close look at the All About Spelling program. It has been designed with the needs of your child in mind, and the program is 100% guaranteed to work. Find out more about the All About Spelling program.
