I have a ten-year-old daughter with mild dyslexia. As is typical for dyslexic children, she is a HORRIBLE speller by nature. Spelling was a daily battle and a source of endless frustration for her. In an attempt to find something to help her, we tried four different spelling curricula, which only added to the frustration because we had to keep returning to the "beginning." Exasperated, she would say, "But WHY is it spelled that way?" to which I had no answer.
I finally decided she was just going to have to learn the "rules" of spelling, which led me to All About Spelling. All I can say is thank you for this wonderful program. We both actually look forward to spelling each day—so easy for me because everything is laid out so clearly and requires no lesson preparation. My daughter even asked if she could do two lessons a day. The ultimate compliment came when she wrote "I love spelling!" on the white board during her lesson! My hat is off to you.
